School GymSport Festival

Join us for this fun event on Sunday 7th September 2025.

All Southland schools are warmly invited to enter their team(s). Entry forms will be available closer to the time.

Gymnastics is a fun activity and a great foundation for other sports. The aims of this festival are to promote participation in gymnastics and include all ability levels.

Children from Year 2 to Year 8 can participate with their school and show off their individual skills as well as performing in a group floor routine. The festival includes skills from Artistic Gymnastics such as mat, vault, floor & beam. A detailed handbook is provided for teachers to outline the skills.

For safety, gymnasts should wear appropriate form-fitting clothing such as t-shirts and shorts, or leotards. No zips, buckles, buttons or jewellery please.
