Have a go at gymnastics in Term 3, then join us for this fun event!

Sunday 22 September 2024 (the second-last weekend of Term 3).

All Southland schools are warmly invited to enter their team(s) in our 2024 School GymSport Festival.

Gymnastics is a fun activity and a great foundation for other sports. The aims of this festival are to promote participation in gymnastics and include all ability levels.

Children from Year 2 to Year 8 can participate with their school and show off their individual skills as well as performing in a group floor routine. The festival includes skills from Artistic Gymnastics such as mat, vault, floor & beam. A detailed handbook is provided for teachers to outline the skills.

Our theme this year is NEON! so team up in your “tight and bright” clothing and/or accessories. For safety, gymnasts should wear appropriate form-fitting clothing such as t-shirts and shorts, or leotards. No zips, buckles, buttons or jewellery please.
